Unbelievable, a whole year has gone by and my good blogging intentions are gone with the wind. Maybe 2014 is my get-with-the-blog year.
One of my favorite things from last year was having my cousin's granddaughter send me a flat Stanley. We had a lot of fun, and I will try to put the little booklet I made of his visit on here tomorrow.
Moving on to 2014, here are my goals. 1. Finish the kid projects that are in the works. 2. Make a Harry Potter themed project for my daughter. 3. Big Ireland project for our trip. 4. Scrap at least some of the archived photos into 12x12 pages.

Scrap Bash album almost done
The awesome Laura Denison held a New Year's Eve Scrap Bash, featuring an easy little mini album. In my pledge to "Use it Up" I found a few sheets of Kaisercraft Chanteuse paper (5 to be exact) and one from my stash that matched enough to use it with the Chanteuse. The pages went together so quickly! I got all the base pages done during the online class. I have embellished them, and will add the cover this Friday. I will post photos by next week. This mini is for my niece. I plan to make 7 minis for child family members over the course of this year. Also, another Harry Potter project for my daughter.

2013!
With this new year, I hope to get healthy, re-vitalize my work life, do something creative every week, and actively maintain friendships. I wish everyone a great year.

Harry Potter Album and Altered Box
I made this album and altered book box for a big Harry Potter fan. I started wanting to make a trunk like Harry takes to Hogwarts. Months of trying, using Kathy Orta's Journey Suitcase pattern, and I finally gave up and did the book box (from Joann's). I added some photos to make the album more fun, but there is plenty room to add photos on the included pull-out photo mats. Enjoy!
